In this newsgroup, it's a topic mainly asked about by Scottish students with ignorant lecturers, who
are blindly following an extremely poor SQA assessment.

I call your lecturer "ignorant", because he/she apparently doesn't have the slightest idea about
what makes newsgroups tick, or why this assessment is so poor. He/she presumably therefore cannot
explain why you and your fellow students from James Watt College have had such a poor reaction from
other newsgroup users. In fact, he/she hasn't learned anything from your experience when you were
here three weeks ago.

Even the SQA have now realised how bad this assessment is, and have recommended that "a more open
approach" should be used instead. But your lecturer is obviously one of the ones who either don't
listen to the SQA's advice, or are incapable of devising a "more open approach".

This is not really the fault of you and your fellow students, so I'm not blaming you. However, I do
blame your lecturer. I suggest you complain to the college principal about the standard of tuition
you are receiving.
