Yep, fine weather for the first five days, lots of short
walks, photos and sunsets. End of the week was a bit of a
washout, but with only one day of actual rain. Meagre
pickings on the next overcast day but the last day (today)
was a surprise with a gloriously clear sky at dawn and a few
hours available for early morning shots in the warm light
before the clouds rolled in.
Even more surprising was the fact that I woke up at the
literal crack of dawn (5:50am) after going to bed at 1:30am,
*without the aid of an alarm!* I must have a built in
sunrise detector or something! Within 15 minutes I'd left
the car and I was heading up to the summit of Hillsborough -
the definitive viewpoint of Ilfracombe, something I'd
planned to do all week but had accepted probably wouldn't
happen. Nice way to end the week.
I'll post a selection of photo highlights in due course, but
right now I think a scrumpy tasting session beckons...
