No, it's not. Just follow the money. 1% of the population has
    benefited dramatically.

Only 1% of families make around $50,000 a year and pay around 1300 in
federal taxes now instead of around 3300 like before?

    Huh.

Where did that number come from? CITATION PLEASE.

Only 1% of families make around $50,000 a year and pay around 1300 in

Give it up, Bill, and crawl back into your cave with the other
troglodytes. You are so last week.

    And repeat after me:

    "Speaker Pelosi"

C'mon, speak up, you sniveling weasel.

Peter: If you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend "V for Vendetta." It's
the movie that 1984 should have been, and has one of the all-time great
    lines-

"People should not be afraid of their governments. Governments should be
    afraid of their people."

I spent a bit of time trying to find where they stole that line from, but it
    appears to be original.

    Plus Nathalie Portman is hawt.

    She was hawter in "Closer".

Even after he licked Bushit's behind after Turd Blossom spread rumors
about him having an illegitimate black baby? After he voted to suspend
Habeas Corpus, and voted to let the president decide what constitutes
torture? After having been tortured? After he dropped his drawers and
laid a stinker on the constitution? McCain is just another GOP rubber
stamping enabler. He tries to paint himself as a maverick, but he
    ain't.

This is so true. It is hard to decide who is a bigger phony,
pandering to the worst elements in society for political advantage:
McCain or Hilary Clinton. A pox on BOTH their houses.

His military backround goes a long way for this retired Naval Aviator.
He was also in an A-4 during the Forrestal fire, on deck, when the [censored]
hit the fan. I think all those running for Pres/VicePres should have
military experience, not just the AirGuard, to stay out of Vietnam but
genuine military service, deployed, 'haze gray and underway' type
service. Flying F-106s in south Texas doesn't count.

Methinks thou hast one's partisan blinders perched upon one's rather
    prominent proboscis.

But not to worry. Now that Dems are the majority party (albeit with all
those new "moderates" and "conservatives", of course!), the media's
portrayal of the economy will likely improve rather dramatically rather
    quickly.

Enjoy! (Before they totally screw it up.)

About time. Finally there is some accountability. I wonder if King
(oops, meant President) George Bush will award Rumsfeld a Presidential
Medal of Freedom (aka medal of incompetence).

I'm very surprized. Bush doesn't often do anythiing that the Dems might
think is a 'good idea'. I think if Bush wanted Rummy to stay, he
would...looks like he got canned. Cheney next? maybe Rove also??

Now that the election is over and House and 'maybe' Senate in
Democratic hands, maybe we will see the 'plan' that Bush said he has.

lessee.....invaded, defeated the military, determined NO WMDs,
captured, tried, sentenced Saddam, constitution, government, 300,000+
    security forces...time to leave.

There is a thought that Cheney might 'step down' due to health (heart)
issues. Opening the way for Bush to nominate a VP (Frist?) to give them
a leg up in the '08 election (i.e., an incumbent VP running for
    president).

I heard an NPR newscast last week with Rove. When the NPR guy mentioned
the bleak poll numbers for the Republicans, Rove jumped down his
thraot, saying he (Rove) saw the "real polls" and the Republicans would
hold their majority in both houses of Congress. Shall we serve up some
crow to that porcine little creep?

Would be nice, 'cept if you go and f*** up a whole country on the
premise of saving it from itself, you are bound to fix 'er back up,
unless you want to further crush any cred this country has in the
    world.

The whole Iraq quagmire is going to go down in history as that s***head

power/water infrastructure, crude production, and reasonably stable
    government.

Course, if we don't give a rat's ass and just wanna crawl back in the
