My was a 26.8mm. I used a Syncros, and was very happy with it.

But mine does NOT seem to be correct. I tried a 27.0mm post in there and it was too small. The front
derailleur clamp size is 31.8 (1 1/4) if that helps. Although 26.8mm seems to be common with steel
frames, it is definitely not with the D-Jab Ti.

Miles, is your 26.8 Syncros mounted on a D-Jab frame?

It sounds as though you need a 31.6 or a 30.9. Take a caliper to the *inside* of the tube for an
exact measurement.

FWIW, my bike has a 31.8 FD clamp, and uses a 31.6 seatpost - and the frame is made of Al (different
tube thickness issues with different materials, dontcha know.

My friend just informed me that it's a 27.4 post that they are using. They were using a 27.2,
shimmed up, but found that Thomson made a 27.4. I would do as Jonesy suggested though, and measure
with some dial calipers.

26.8mm was the size mine came in. Yes, it is a more common size for steel, but my D-jab was sized
for it perfectly.

Sadly, I no longer have the bike (but I do still have the post!).

I'm wondering now if Voodoo made a model year change with the tube set, or possibly changed as the
frame size increased. The D-Jab my friend rides is the largest model (21"😉 Voodoo made. As far as
steel frames go, my Deluxe uses a 29.4 post, which does not leave me many options, as far as trying
different brands. Lucky thing for me, Thomson makes a 29.4.

I'd probably still be riding that Voodoo if it were the next size bigger. The longer I had it, the
more obvious it became that 18.5" just wasn't the right size- I needed a 19.5" frame.

I'd probably still be riding that Voodoo if it were the next size bigger. The longer I had it, the
more obvious it became that 18.5" just wasn't the right size- I needed a 19.5" frame.

19.5" was the size of mine, and was very happy with it, with one exception. The cockpit just a bit
too short for me. The effective TT length was about
20.5". My new ride is right at 24", and all the other dimensions are real close to what the Wanga
was, with the exception of the HT, and ST angles. I think I'm going to be real happy with it.

Geometry for the Joe Murray designed hard tails didn't change from year to year or from model to
model. That being said, the builders changes from year to year. Later models were produced in the US
(High Altitude and others), early models were produced overseas (A-Pro and Toyo). Seat tube and post
diameters changed with production facilities.

Hmmm... I thought that 23.5" was the ETT length on my 18.5"... I am running a 24 1/8" TT now on my
custom bike, and I love it. I could never go back to a short TT.

As it turned out, my lbs guy said it's 27.2mm post measurement. Thanks to all you guys who helped
