Voo Dew lube

Great stuff that everybody should use that you havent used yet. What am i missing,my gun?

Hahaha! Really! No disrespect but at least give the stuff a whirl before you start telling everyone else to try it. Coincidentally, I just tried a new lube that I hadn't used before (yes, I actually USED the stuff) and it has proved to be excellent. It's made by White Lightning and it's their "Epic" lube. I can recommend it from actual experience with the product!

No disrespect taken... besides I can't seem to find in my post where I was telling everyone else to try it. Just directing people to their site so you can check it out to see if it's something you would like to try.

Any hoot, I did try it today. Granted I only used it for one ride so I can't give a long term opinion on it, but so far I like it. My bike shifted very smoothly and was way quiet. Much better than the cosmoline [censored] that was on it from the factory. HAHA

In what way was the white lightning that you used so excellant? I don't know the difference between their Epic lube and their Race Day lube, but their Race Day didn't fair too well in the test that the maker of Voo Dew did. Not much of a lubricant. So why use it?

The fact that you know so much about "the maker" of Voo Dew and that your first and only post was to tell everyone about this fabulous new product that you haven't tried yet smacks of free advertising to me. That combined with the fact that you went out of your way to make sure to tell us that White Lightning Race Day didn't fair well in the tests.

If you had ever visited the forum other than to solicit product, you'd know that White Lightning, along with Pro-Link are probably the two most widely used and well respected lubricants by members of this forum. I'd never heard of Voo Dew until you went out of your way to sign-on to the forum to "let us know" about it. I've had great luck with White Lightning Race Day lube so I don't know what testing methods "this guy" used but evidently he didn't go out and actually ride the product. White Lighting Epic is even better because it's more of a "lube-and-go" product. You don't even seem to have to wipe your chain if you don't want to. Just apply the stuff and go. This results in a perfectly quiet and smooth-shifting chain. I can whole heartedly recommend either of these two products to anyone on the forum. From actually using the product. And I don't work for them. 😉

I use both Pro Link and this De Mond stuff. Both are SO MUCH BETTER than any of the wax or teflon/silicon-based lubes I'd tried before. Why? Cleaner for longer! Huge difference.

Honestly I don't work for this company and in no way am I affilitated with it. I only know of them from their other products.

I do know that White Lightning and Pro Link are highly regarded products. I've found this out by reading this and other forums. I currently use W.L. on my SpeedPlay pedals. Seems to work good there. I'll let you know how this stuff works. If it's good I'll keep it. If not then I'll try the W.L. or the Pro Link.

In defense of Gumber, I did noticed he was only optimistic about Voo Dew based on his experience with a like product by the same company.

I have been using Voo Dew for a little over a year. As a mountain biker that rides in dry and dusty conditions that are harsh on components, here's what I noticed: It seems to have greatly reduced wear on my drive-train and I don't have to clean or tune my bike as often. The stuff does not gunk-up pulleys, chain, etc.

Other lube have tried without as much success include: all Finishline products, Pedro's, Rock n Roll, a few others I forget the names of, and White Lightning (I still use White Lightning on my pedals and cleats only).

Sorry if this reads like an ad, I also do not have any connection, (other the "customer"😉, with the Voo Dew people or company. The stuff just really works for me and the conditions I ride under.

So what makes a great lube great?
How do you judge something like a lubricant?
Why do people get so passionate about them- we are talking about bicycle lubricants, right?
