Is Mayo peaking too early again?

Voigt reminds me a lot of Basso last year when he won every stage in Tour of Denmark...yep, a lot like Basso.

I watched Mayo in San Sebastion and he looked good... he would of won if there wasn't a 15km flat run into the finish... he did all the work on the final climb with Menchov and Sastre not doing a lot...... it looked like the Mayo of old...

I don't think he really cares about peaking to early he just wants to ride well again.... he won't be aiming to win the Vuelta just get some good stages out......

Yeah, there are two mountain-top finishes in the first week. I really hope he will keep his form and win at least one of those stages.

He rode an honorary criterium Sat nigh came in 2nd behind Zabel.
He won a race Sunday.

Agreed but you have to ride those km... He had to drive 3 hours by car as well (between the race and the crit)... And than win again on the next day... Hmmm who is his doctor?

The crits are set-ups... i.e. the winner is determined before the race is ridden... they are a showpiece not an actual race.... in 86 LeMond rode 9 crits in 3 days and won all of them... the punters came to see they yellow jersey (which he wore) and he had to win.... he said that he only had around 5 hours sleep in those 3 days.... its all a bit of fun and the riders are paid up front to appear..... move on...

Sure they are set-ups but Hainleite and Sparkassen are no crits but to do a crit and a 3 hour car drive in between...

Voigt is on drugs I have no doubt about it. In previous posts I have also expressed my views on this. Mayo is a freak doubt he is on drugs though.

Voigt simply couldn't win the TDG it was just too hard and he annialated them.
Riis needs wins now that Basso is out.

He also gets very uptight and defensive when asked about doping, what has he got to hide?
