Vision R50, water bottle mount

The best thing to get is the seat bag from Vision, it has 2 side holders for water bottles and can
be reached while riding. Also holds a decent amount of anything you want

I have had good luck mounting two Minora water bottle mounts on the cross bar on the back of the
seat. I placed them as far outboard as possible, and angled them down a bit from parallel to the
seat frame. With cages and bottles in place I find it quite quick and easy to reach back for a
bottle, though I will admit getting the bottle back into the cage takes a bit of practice. The
further down you angle the cage the easier it is to use, but then the bottle becomes less secure.

I have an R40. I used a clamp-on mount (magura?), put one on the light standard, but it sloshed too
much. I put the clamp-on mount behind the seat, on a lower horizontal cross-piece, off-center
towards the left. The water bottle is horizontal. You can reach it unless you reach a hair too far
and thrust your fingers in the spokes. I generally don't reach for mine while riding. Apart from a
bladder-bag of some sort I dunno.

I have a backpack mounted to the back of my seat. I just drop my 100oz. Camelbak Unbottle in the
backpack and I am good to go. The Unbottle also has several "D" rings on it that will allow you to

With OSS I simply hose-clamp it to the stem. On my USS I have
1) Hose clamped ahead of stem, or
2) My preferred method is for LBS install "bosses" ahead of the headset by drilling through the
frame (make certain you aren't afraid of voiding the warranty on the frame ... I am not). Also
make certain that the drilling does not interfere with the telescoping of the boom.

With the bottle ahead of the stem I need to lean forward in seat to remove bottle, but now can
perform such a maneuver without issue. On my 1st Vision I mounted the bottle cage facing to the rear
... easier access, more leakage.
