Piepoli's damned impressive this year. Coming into the Dauphine just
after winning two mountain stages in the Giro, and still being fit
enough to do that. And, at 35, surely an honorary fatty master. Makes
you wonder how they would have done if he and not Simoni had been
leading SDV in the Giro.

placing, and simply blew up.

They're both climbers. So I don't think there'd have been a great deal of
difference. Though Piepoli is certainly a great deal friendlier towards the
camera.
