Velocity Hubs Question

They are SunRace JuJu hubs AFAIK. Nice cartridge bearing but not directly comparable to Campagnolo
except the Veloce series.

I like them for what they are but I also like the new Campagnolo big bearing (REC, CHR, CEN) for
what it is.

Is weather a big factor for you?

looks change, in fact a 2 year old velocity hub sitting in front of me looks a fair bit different
than the one on spin-lite (they've smoothed out the lines). but the bit between the flanges on the
rear is very asymmetrical on the velocity and almost symmetrical on the sunrace. the allen wrench
mojo mentioned on the site about the sunraces is there on the velocity, otoh.

hmm, could be. i've always wondered about these hubs. they have held up fairly well.

I wrote that late in the evening. So I just called them (800.435.6126).

Velocity says no more SunRace, no more Nova, all current (and forseeable future) hubs are Formula.
Glad you asked!

Overall Velocity gets hubs made or modified for them anyway and we've never had failures in
their hubs.

just checked formula's site (formulahubs.comformulahubs.comOpen ↗) and RB32-8QR is the spitting image of the
newer velocity hubs (spinlite) so i'll buy that.

i wrote velocity last night to ask about swapping cassette bodies (from shimano to campy), to get a
part number and for maintenance diagrams. got a response this morning. seems my two year old hubs
(from a deep v wheelset) are nova-tec. from the email:

"Go to: www.joy-tech.com.tw. When you get to that site click on "Service & Support". That
will show you a "section view" of the hub. Over on the left side of that page you will see 4
sub-categories: "Hub", "SB", etc. Click on "Hub" and it will give you step-by-step
instructions for a complete hub overhaul."
