Vegetarian, Vegan, or Omnivorous

I once met a woman who knew one other unicyclist who happened to be
vegan(I am), and she decided that all unicyclists must be vegan.

Which of course in not true, but now I'm wondering if the unicycling
population has a greater proportion of veggies than the general
population.

Disclaimer: I am NOT AT ALL interested in debating of any of the virtues
of a particular diet. I'm just curious to see if there is a trend.

hey all i'm none of the above, when i was little and teething i got some
pretty nasty blood blisters and whenever i ate meat etc they would pop
and i would barf it all up and so now, although i don't have a thing
about eatin animals -a misconception that alot of people have about
vegetarians- , whenever i eat meat its a psycological mechanism or
something but i cant hold it down for the life of me. Along with meat a
fair few veggies are taboo with my stomach so i guess i'm like a fruit,
dairy, cereals-atarian. Does anyone else know anyone at all like me or
am i a freak among freaks?

I eat meat (fish, chicken, red meat). And lots of it. Maybe half a
kilogram everyday.

At Eurocycle in Plymouth the other year, there were 3 people
who requested vegan diets in the canteen, out of maybe 200 or
so attendees.

So about 1.5%, might be slightly more than the general population,
but probably not much in it.

Phil, you beat me to the question. I would consider myself a carnivore

I should have put "carnivorous" as an option.

One of my friends refuses to eat vegetables, and therefore doesn't
really qualify as an omnivore.

Though i would not say that i am a vegetarian because i unicycle, i can
say that it did greatly contribute to it. Once i started unicycling, i
spent a lot more time with sam, john, and trip, who are all vegetarian
(trips vegan). I think that they greatly influenced my choice.

Can't get polls to work on my computer. Dunno why.

Anyway, I've been a unicyclist (to a greater or less extent) since about
1987, and I've been a vegetarian (to a greater or lesser extent -
occasional lapses) since about 1987.

I've been a full time vegetarian since about 1993, and a keen unicyclist
since about 2001/2 (can't recall how many years, now).

My mate Andy eats meat voraciously and rides mediocrely. There's a
lesson there!

I eat meat. Actually, I just had a buffalo burger yesterday. That's
the first time I've eaten buffalo. But I eat beef, pork, chicken,
turkey, venison, pretty much anything. I've had elk and duck before, as
well. My dad hunts, so that's where we get venison. I've only gotten
squirrels, but we give them to a friend of his who likes squirrel. So I
haven't eaten squirrel.
