  1. Does anyone know about USANA essential? It is about 20 times as expensive as Centrum. Since it
is sold through network market, it is hard to find objective review of it. Is it really worth
    the money?

USANA also carries other products, such as Bio-3, Active Calcium Plus, Coquinone, Proflavanol C,
Procosa II. They are all very expensive compared to other similar product. Is it really that
    good? Thanks.

  2. Once upon a time, our fellow Bo rambled on about "USANA product." Our champion De-Medicalizing in
    sci.med.nutrition retorts, thusly ...

The ONLY Frauds in Health are those who couldn't care less about
prevention. Beware of anybody who brags about eating a lousy diet,
eating crispbread, non-dairy coffee creamer, being overweight, or
    about smoking!

  3. As someone who has been taking nutritionals for 14 years and who has studied well over 150 network
marketing company nutritional products, I know Usana very very well.

To answer your question, Usana's Essentials are better than any Centrum. However, it does not
account for the high cost. The value is less when taking costs into account.

  5. What would make a multi-level product better than a store-bought product? Besides the marketing,
there are excellent products in nutrition departments that are at least as good as those
    available via MLM.

Usually when anything different is said, it is supported solely by the company in question's
    marketing and promotional materials.

  6. The over all quality.

Where a company gets/buy their nutrients? i.e. quality of those nutrients?

Quality testing involved to insure potency?

Tablets have poor aborption rates, hence many mlms include technologies to ensure the nutrients get
absorbed as otherwise would have in other products.

    The amount of each nutrient?

What type of nutrients? For an example, many minerals can come in arginate, ascorbate, asparate,
citrate, glutamate, glycinate. Most bottles contain 1 of those. I know of an mlm company that
contains most of them for each nutrient for minerals.

Some mlm companies include many plant enzymes within their mutli-vitamin/mineral products. I don't
know of very many nutrition departments that do that.

Some mlm companies also include an array of extra anti-oxidants such as lipoic acid, pycnognenol,
grape seed, green tea, red wine extract, etc.

I am sorry but you CANNOT get all of the above in a bottle of Centrum.

Choosing a multi-nutritional supplement is not as easy as walking into a Walgreens and picking one
up. There is so much that one needs to look at.

However, one nutrient supplements, there is less comparison involved.

As with product, you can find great deals within departments and within mlms.

I use a supplement that also contains flaxseed 2000mg, primrose 1000mg, borage 500mg. Find me a
department nutritional product that gives you that? You can pay an extra $20 for another bottle at
    my local supermarket.

HTH a little and puts a different insight when choosing supplements.

  7. There are many "deals" to be found in nutritional stores. I was not referring to a bottle of
Centrum. I was referring to herbal and nutritional products that are excellent performers and cost a
lot less than what you would pay via MLM. The downside is that they are sold without the hype.

I don't dislike the MLM form of doing business however I do dislike the ridiculous hype that is
given to those who blindly follow whatever they hear or read. Just because someone says it is so
    does not make it so.

When asked for proof, none is given however the hype and stories are plentiful.
