After perusing yet another positive article about commuting,
Pedaling away pounds, pollution. New lanes, Sun Tran make it easier to bicycle

High gasoline prices. Long waits at red lights. Pollution from tailpipes. Road rage. That ever-expanding waistline. Don't forget global warming. All are compelling reasons to get out of that fossil fuel-burning car or truck and into the fresh air on a bicycle on the way to work, school or shopping center.

Ok, not bad, so I took a look at the online poll:
What would it take to get you to ride a bicycle to work?
Safer bike routes: 36 %
Showers at work: 23 %
A really cool bike:1 %
They'll have to pry the steering wheel from my cold, dead hands: 39 %
Total number of votes 181. Poll results aren't scientific. Percentages may not add up to 100 percent due to rounding off.

So the good citizens of Tucson are getting the message about commuting, but slightly prefer the smogbox option, hot showers and don't care much for bling. Would the results be similar here in Aus or rather different?
