Well it could be expedition 19 or even 20 that I am proposing.
Hang on a minute who is this? Those of you who are new around here will
be possibly saying 'who the hell is he?' and those who have been around
for a while and not gone senile will possibly be saying 'who the hell
does he think he is?'
Well, I'll carry on regardless with my proposal - you will see from my
sig that I am within striking distance of compleating the dreaded
monroes. I had considered doing the final beast on 6/6/6 - however, one
of my prospective companions goes to the Hay on Wye festival each year
and of course that would clash. (Especially, as he has one of those
great big camper vans with a number of berths = very tempting!) So now I
am looking at 4/5/6 (although 28/4 was tempting) - and asking whether
anyone would care to join me in tackling the traditional Ben More, Mull
(NM 526331).
A long weekend could include the Corbett/Marilyn Dun da Ghaoithe (NM
672362)and Marilyns Beinn Talaidh (NM 625347) and Sgurr Dearg (NM
665340). And, maybe a boat trip to Iona (NM 284252) - or even out to
have a look at Fingal's cave on Staffa (NM 325350). Bring the kids and
let them have a look around Ballymory (NM 505552).
I know at least a couple of urw members have expressed interest - so is
anyone else? You can't say I am not giving plenty of notice for a
suggested period from say 3 - 7 May 2006.
