Hello,
Lately my urine is bright yellow. I don't know why but its
almost flourescent when put against a white background. Any
idea what it means?
Thanks

Have you recently started taking any nutritional
supplements, especially containing B vitamins, in particular
the powerful detoxifying vitamin B2 (riboflavin)? If so,
what you are seeing is artificial food coloring, synthetic
textile dyes, fluorescent dyes added to laundry detergent,
etc. being released from your body. It's completely
harmless, in fact, it's a good sign. It will clear up in a
few days, unless you've got a really bad case. If you need
major detoxification, add a single-component riboflavin
supplement will speed things up a lot. At first, your urine
would become even more brightly colored, but eventually it
will clear up after the last toxins are released.
VERY IMPORTANT -- don't stop taking the riboflavin until
your urine runs clear. Riboflavin releases the toxins and
helps them run out of the body in the urine. If you suddenly
stop taking the riboflavin mid-stride, there will be high
levels of toxins that were released into your bloodstream,
but they will be trapped trying to get out of your body.
That could have uncertain consequences! You can get
riboflavin at pretty much any supermarket or drugstore these
days. Don't worry about brands -- all riboflavin is the
same. The cheapest generic riboflavin is as good as any
other. Hope this helps!
Might mean that you take vitamins.

You wouldn't, by any chance, happen to be taking a B-vitamin
supplement? Riboflavin will do that.

Thanks!! It never occured to me! I have been taking some
multivitamins and antioxidants because I've been feeling
really tired lately. Among other vit's it has 25mg of
riboflavin, 25mg of b-6 and 50mcg of b-12. It hasn't helped
much but I've only been taking it for a week now. Mystery
solved! 🙂

After all, there are various coloured dyes, so wouldn't the
urine change to all sorts of colours depending on artificial
food colours consumed i.e., in some cases wouldn't the urine
would go red, green or blue if say coloured cordials,
lollies were consumed.
How reliable is this information i.e., that B2 helps the
body eliminate artificial food colourings? I had always
thought the bright yellow urine colour was because
vitamin B is water soluable and any excess gets
eliminated pretty quickly (vitamin b tablets are yellow),
hence the yellow urine.

Yellow is the color you get if you mix all the colors
together. In a very bad case, you might get brown, but
usually it will be yellow which is a dilute form of brown.
It's like if you collected every color of paint turned in
for recycling and mixed them all together -- you'd get
brown, and if you diluted that brown paint mixture with
white paint, you'd get yellow.

Yes, I thought of this later. Blue or red added to already

artificial coloring.

I'm not saying they're aren't variations in urine color due
to diet or other factors. I had a friend who was given a new
orange sofa from her parents, and her urine was always that
exact same orange color. She thought it was cool that her
urine mached her sofa, but I thought it was kinda creepy,
myself. You don't know anything about what that orange color
is, and it sure ain't natural.

You'd have to ask Sonic.net where they get their experts

It's actually much worse than that. They have secretly
bought up all of the sources of coral calcium, so that they
will be able to take it off the market. Already prices have
doubled here in the U.S., and a friend of mine who works at
a health food store says her boss is stockpiling a whole
warehouse full of it. By next year, prices could be ten
times higher.

Every time someone puts up a web page about it, the

freedom of speech, but it could cost you $10,000 to prove it
in court. Hope this helps. :-)

brown. It's like if you collected every color of paint turned
in for recycling and mixed them all together -- you'd
get brown, and if you diluted that brown paint mixture
with white paint, you'd get yellow.Yes, I thought of this later. Blue or red added to
already yellow urine merely changes the shade i.e., to
more green or lemon coloured or more orange coloured in
the case of red artificial coloring.I'm not saying they're aren't variations in urine color
due to diet or other factors. I had a friend who was given
a new orange sofa from her parents, and her urine was
always that exact same orange color. She thought it was
cool that her urine mached her sofa, but I thought it was
kinda creepy, myself. You don't know anything about what
that orange color is, and it sure ain't natural.
Are you saying that her urine was coloured by chemicals
from her sofa?

experts that perform fact-checking on all Usenet
postings transmitted from this site. Not all sites
perform this service, but the more reputable ones do.But sonic.net is an ISP. Surely you wouldn't expect them
to research information to this level, and where did the
information come from originally. You'd have to ask Sonic.net where they get their experts
from. I know the selection has to be approved by their
lawyers, because they once got sued by the Church of
Scientology, and they had to prove that L. Ron Hubbard
really was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia when he
was in the U.S. Navy.
Have you got any references concerning this information.
This is mere heresay at this point in time and as
interesting as it is, could be a total fabrication.

believe! They spread the myth that excess vitamins are
passed into the urine, and that any money you spend on
nutritional supplements is wasted. That's because they
would be put out of business tomorrow if everybody
were taking vitamins for health.Of course this makes sense and I wouldn't be at all
surprised. It's actually much worse than that. They have secretly
bought up all of the sources of coral calcium, so that
they will be able to take it off the market. Already
prices have doubled here in the U.S., and a friend of mine
who works at a health food store says her boss is
stockpiling a whole warehouse full of it. By next year,
prices could be ten times higher.
Are you serious, or are you leading me on? I won't way its
not beyond the realms of possibility, but it is rather
fantastic information. And without some substantiation, I
wouldn't give this information any credence.

calorie you eat. Why would your body not save
something even more valuable, like vitamins? The
notion that excess vitamins are lost in the urine
makes no sense! All vitamins are stored in the body.
Hope this helps! :-)Sounds logical, but you wouldn't be able to provide an
authoritative source that this is true. That would be
helpful. I've checked around but without too much
success.Every time someone puts up a web page about it, the
pharmaceutical company lawyers jump on it. You might have
freedom of speech, but it could cost you $10,000 to prove
it in court. Hope this helps. :-)
It doesn't really help, to tell the truth. Unless you have
some substantiating information, it could be a fairy story.

I couldn't rule it out. I suppose it could be just a
coincidence, but if you had a chance to see the sofa you
wouldn't think so.

A fabrication? Sonic.net does not allow posting incorrect
information from their servers. Sonic.net users must use
Google for that.

What's so hard to believe? That someone would stockpile
inventory in anticipation of higher prices? That's called
capitalism. It happens all the time. Like the current
situation in the oil business.

But what standard of proof would be enough for you? Whatever
evidence is presented, you will ask for more. And with all
the witnesses being silenced, who would dare to place
themselves at risk by speaking up?
