  1. Well all, Life is good right now desite the knee trouble. I got to
start exercise this week and I am down four more pounds in four days.
My total loss is 59 pounds in about 45 days. Despite the excrutiating
pain in my knee I have managed to get my exercise in. I got my Synvisc
treatment started in my knee. That viscous stuff is made out of the
combs from the top of chicken heads. Who Wooda Thunk! I had my first
injection on Monday and go back for 2 more, one on the 21st, and the
last one on the 28th. It is not instant relief as it takes about 8
weeks for the lubricant to work. Thank God for the Vicodin and my
recliner or I wouldnt sleep at night it is that bad. I am waiting
patiently. Even with this dark cloud above me the sun is still shinning
    guys!!! (:p

I have reduced my carb consumption greatly and traded in the carbs for
less palatable pureed foods. Chicken breast thinned with enchilada
sauce, tuna, mayo, dill pickles whizzed up, egg salad, turkey thigh with
low carb BBQ sauce to thin it down, pureed vegetable soups, sf
popsicles. I do eat unsweetened applesauce and an occasional refried
bean dinner but I have cut out cream of wheat, mashed potatoes etc. My
diet is pretty limited and it is hard to eat low carb pureed but am
trying. I'm loving the new Crystal Light grapefruit drink. I drink a
lot of 100% whey protein drinks and Atkins Chocolate delight shakes.

I still feel no hunger or get shaky. My energy level is up. I feel
wonderful and have not had one complication.

I'm losing my [censored]! Thats okay because when I am done I will have lipo
    and full body lift.

I went to have my hair foiled the other day (I'm now blonde, carmel,
and brunette) and my hair dresser looked at me and said " You look
    terrific have you done something
like plucked your eyebrows? You're face looks so much brighter" LOL!!

Im beginning to like the new me emerging when I look into the mirror. I
have lost 4 pounds this week since Monday and the week isnt over. I do
think I may make the 88 pound loss mark by Mid May like the doc
    predicted.

Again Thank you to all my friends in here who were understanding and
supportive of the decision I made. It meant a lot to me.

  7. Good job, Laureen. I find that exercise is totally the key for me in
weight loss! Glad to hear you are able to continue even with the knee
pain and I hope the "chicken head" therapy is beneficial - lol!

Just curious, how is your husband doing on his weight loss as you
    cruise along with yours?

less than him though {:p He is eating low carb and is a slow loser
    though. He's trying hard.

  17. Out of lifes lemons? LOL! This is not the first time I have been faced
with adversity but this one had to do with me personally and my life,
the life I felt was slowly slipping from me. I truly felt like I was
dying. I really believe the WLS is the last resort and not a quick fix.
I view it a gift and tool to help me with a huge problem. Thanks for
    your support!
