Great day for a ride. 6 of us out today - GPL, Ess, Me, Ritcho, Dutch,
and TimC. It was easy to pick the Sydneysider, he was the one all rugged
up.

I felt alright on the flat sections (what few of them there are) but the
hills were killing me. Checked my training spreadsheet when I got home
to find I haven't done a ride any longer than my commute since 19Feb. No
wonder I'm knackered now. Oh well, 3 more weeks of study then I'm free,
FREE, FREEEE I tells ya!!! Hmmm, what will I use for an excuse then??

But more importantly congrats to -I Hate even more than before- Shane Miller for his mamoth effort yesterday, wat a gun

The results prob won't be posted till Monday, I still can't see how it would be possible to be in the money....surely GPL has misheard.

ho ho! I was rugged up - boot covers, long tights, thick jersey over a tshirt. I wasn't complaining when we stopped at the coffee shop though...

I managed to top out at 84.1 down the steep hill, close to my pb, but about 1km/h shy. Unfortunately I couldn't go _up_ to Kangaroo Ground quite so quickly as gpl and then ess took off. Ess provided a tantalising target about 50m up the road for most of that section, but proved too strong (probably stringing me along). I was also pretty lazy in the section after the shop, sitting at the back and enjoying the ride, but I was tired ok?

All up I ended with about 100km on the clock and 29 and a bit average. The weather was perfect and the muffin at the coffee shop was very well received/inhaled. It's obvious I need to go up hills more often, so I'll be back next week for another helping for sure! Tomorrow is swimming and a run...

I had to make up for my lack of kilometres yesterday🙁

Did you head up Kinglake today lama?? I got a massive leadout in the first 2k from one of the 6amers! It was a wheelsuckers best dream, plus my old man let me ride on his rear wheel while mine is getting fixed, Daaaaaad i want one (in the tone of andy off Little Britain)!😄 😄

Did I go to Kinglake? Computer says no... (HRM that is).... I saw your blistering 18:0something on c2m... sounds like good training for what you need to do next weekend! Rest up and race hard!

Just the standard BR route today... making sure a/ nobody caught me, and b/ nobody could catch me. TimC and FD gave us a few mins handicap heading out to Clintons Rd... I chased hard.. as I caught them... I saw him get out of the saddle and appear to attack FD for no reason off the front... wowa, rock and roll TimC!... but.... I then realised he had seen me coming in his helmet mirror and was attempting to gather some speed to jump on... a quick flick further out to the middle of the road and a short burst of power put that idea to rest quickly 😉

A little birdy told me you were annoyed you couldn't drop me during
the time trial last BR 🙂

Are helmet mirrors UCI legal? Definite unfair advantage in thwarting
stealth attacks.
