Congratulations on the age group finish!!
Thanks; but it's not hard to place in a small AG!
Not that I don't enjoy it, and the various medals, ribbons & other awards
look nice around the house. And I'm still ahead of those who don't do it at
all, though (sometimes far) behind several in my AG (& older) who leave me
in their dust.
Quoted message said:Sorry to hear how disappointing it was to miss out on promised
features. That video is the best feature of those two races I
mentioned, seeing yourself finish! Maybe drop the race track a letter.
It won't help you from this year, but maybe the idea will get thru for
future years.
I may, if I think about it.
But from what the announcer was saying, it sounded like a real effort on
somebody's part even to get to use any of the facilities -- the racetrack
itself doesn't put on the people-race. I think this race used to be downtown
(I *think* that's what somebody told me).
We did get a short glimpse of some horses doing workouts -- we could see
them through the fence from the parking lot. They were gone before the race
was over.

Nope, Baltimore -- Pimlico track.
The horse race is this Saturday.
2nd leg of the triple crown.
A local running club in DC is having a "Triple Crown" race -- one of each
distance, one after the other on the same morning (this Saturday). I'd run
it (them) if I weren't signed up for a 10k on Sunday.
Quoted message said:Thistledown and Northfield are both Ohio Tracks, in the Cleveland-Akron
area. They are coming up soon. I'll see about getting the dates in case
anyone's interested.
That's *really* too far for me to go. But I'm sure someone will be
interested.
