Perhaps I've got it all wrong but I thought the need to hydrate was because the liquid is lost by the cycling activity through perspiration etc, not by needing to pee more. If the extra liquid is going straight through then there must be too much liquid surely?
You have it wrong, kind of.
You do need to replace the liquid lost through perspiration etc, but in doing so, the body extract what it needs from your chosen rehydration fluid, and discards the rest.

No -- if you're not peeing you're dehydrated, which is a bad thing.
