Brewing ceased in April, apparently due to a fall-out. If you had ever visited or
spoken to the brewers you would be aware of frictions for many years. I have
visited them several times and ordered casks from them.

However, I learned last week that the brewers are looking for another site.

The brewer, Martin, can often be found in the Hampshire Bowman - now that would
make an idyllic site for a brew pub - but very unlikely. its a lovely pub to ride
to, and also has camping adjacent.

I think the owner of the Flowerpots pub has made a grave business mistake as the
brewing on the site was one of the principal attractions. By throwing that out he
has removed the main reason for the success of the place.

A great shame, but I confess to not being what you could call 'a
regular'. We went out for a couple of their Wednesday curry nights a
few years ago, but more recently my stops out that way have been in
Alresford - where a cycling chum & I part company to go home.

Actually the way my cycling has been going recently, I may soon be
blameless.

My brother, who lives in Shanghai, went to North Korea recently. He
said the food was excellent - but I expect they treat invited tourists
differently to the general population. I don't suppose there's a
precident for Western pensioners retiring to North Korea. ;-)

now not participating in such activity. Food's not so good though. ;-)

Lot of Africa not participating in pension plans and savings accounts,
I believe. Expect that they would be happy to participate. They will be
happy to become two-car households too, and then where shall we all be?
