This is my theory. Were you once in love with cycling, even competed on some level, only to be disillusioned when your dreams were crushed b/c of doping? You decided you could not compete unless you doped and you became imbittered that something that could be so beautiful was spoiled by shameless greed and deceit? You fell out of love with cycling, and in that void you filled hours upon hours of researching a topic that you feel destroyed the great sport?
I mean this respectfully. Your crusade will never prevail. Because people still want to believe. They want to beleive in the indefatigable human spirit, in teamwork, in this alone, to push oneself where one thought not possible. If everyone looked upon Le grand boucle as merely opera as you say, if everything were revealed and all became enlightened to the dark, seedy world you detest, then what? Hope is gone. courage, strength, perseverance, all meaningless. the world will be even more cynical, even more insane. most come into an unspoken agreement. in this situation it is to have faith that the athletes are engaging in competition with respect for oneself, the fans, for the sport in general driven by sheer talent and will alone. you turn up your nose. we want to believe.

David Walsh & Betsy Andreu are trolls---because Bro Deal said so.

College Football is a clean sport with BILLIONS of illegal gambing action.

Expensive satellite launches and TV Networks were founded to promote education, truth and knowledge throughout the world. They missed the Nazi Holocaust, but are on top of the steroids in cycling.

Fact:
All you need to know is this: Not every human being needs to suspend logic and common sense when viewing a Hollywood film, an Opera or a cow blood & steroid stage race. It is possible to accept it for what it is---a grand deception.

If you want religion--then seek out a church (sanctuary). Never look for ethics or values in TV sport. That is NOT part of the business, only money is.

Doc, accepting your analysis, do you believe that there are no GT riders who compete undoped. FWIW wasn't there a Frenchie a couple of years ago (the one who Pharmstrong disgracefully persecuted for his outspoken, anti-drugs stance) who was almost universally accepted to be clean. Unable to be competitive without resorting to the usual pharmacopeia, this rider retired and now devotes himself to going round French schools preaching an anti-drugs message. Every Country inevitably has a tendency to assume that their boys are the good guys, and accordingly here in the UK Wiggins is often advanced as the poster boy for clean cycling. I am under no illusions about the ubiquity of dopage, but in this case Wiggins' very meagre road palmares, despite an obvious talent, 'might' suggest that this view is correct.

He is not capable of riding nor is he a Doctor, no matter what is in his title, he likes to claim so much and prove so little.

Dear, oh dear. I think that we all just just about managed to work out that he's not actually a stethoscope wielding Doctor. Everyone knows that he's really an English thespian with a dodgy accent who is handsomely paid for playing the dramatic role of a Doctor. He just posts here when he's off the set. And what's your take on this new guy, Dr. Pepper-have you got the inside track on him as well. Next thing you'll be exposing Helmut as not being a real wrestler.

You totally misunderstand my point, Doctor. I am not in denial, nor do I look to sport or media in general for my personal ethics. or anything else you talked about. I loathe LA, his cronies, and how he has manipulated and profited from his deceit, etc., etc., etc. In spite of that, I still try to look for the good in people. Anyways, I won't bother trying to convey my point anymore.
