  1. Is the new Ultegra Hollowtech 2 bottom bracket (SM-FC6600) compatible
    with Dura-Ace cranks (SM-FC7800)...?

yep, as well as XTR/XT...all the dimensions of the 'hollowtech''cups'
are the same...very unlike shimano to build in so much compatibility
with other, lower groups, but...geee they did!!

Apparently you can use Shimano external bottom brackets with FSA cranks,
too. My coworker had to put in an XTR after his FSA kept creaking
constantly. He likes it so much he's not going to put in the FSA warranty
    replacement

Very unlike Shimano? Give me the name of your dealer, he's clearly selling
    some good stuff.

  5. Why not get the free replacement and sell it? Hell, it's free!!!

lessseee...SPD-R pedals and no shoes, ES-50 and 70 BBs for XT but not
XTR. XTR BB for XTR only, same octalink as road but not compatible, 10s
cogsets and 7700 wheels of certain sizes, small caps for STI that cover
the Flightdeck holes, not the same for DA, ultegra, freehub bodies and
cones that are unique for each hub, stoopid small ring BCD for DA
triple......I'm sure I can think of more but I just got up jasper.
