  1. Ulrich is in South Africa now according to Procycling. So I am wondering,
with the very high crime rate there does he ride with armed bodyguards or he
likes living on the edge ?
Perhaps he confines his training to the exercise bikes at some luxury resort
    there...

A few weeks ago I was in Capetown. I saw cyclists out for a Sunday ride, no
problems. They were on the less crowded roads.

Having lived in both NY and SA I would have to dispute that. SA drivers in
general are much bigger [censored] than NY drivers are. In fact you are in
far greater danger from [censored] drivers (and traffic police not clamping
down on drunken [censored] drivers) than you are from crime in SA. Ask Robert

Bear in mind that tv networks like CNN have a vested interest in
sensationalising things and can present a somewhat skewed view.

yeah, you know how it goes...first it's only harmless conversation. but
then one horrifying day you find you're sleeping with the crackers.

Isn't there something about cooking Donald's pet rabbit, too? This is
all getting very weird. Kind of like this:

I'm not sure what kind of bike club I'm into. I did a Powerpoint
presentation of the nominees for the Crash Award. Highlights included
three club members having three different huge crashes on the same day,
(one frame and two seasons were destroyed), the guy who crashed into a
haybale seconds after winning a prime, the guy who the crash award was
named after breaking his _other_ hip, and the club member who fell
backwards off a bar stool seconds after the award was handed out at last
    year's dinner.

I was also nominated, for a failure-to-unclip crash on the club ride.

Wow, an olympic size swimming pool, abundant tennis courts, an athletics
track and cricket grounds on your doorstep in addition to both the
Atlantic and Indian oceans. Oh, and a runway directly pointing at your
    house 😄

This one must have been sponsored by the company that provides you with

    I think unclipping-heel-into-rear-tire- and-complete-stop crashes are
    way cooler.
