Do you remember 2001?
It was the Plateau de Bonascre, when Armstrong looked back to Ullrich ...
Yesterday uphill to that Plateau d. B. Jan looked back to Lance ...
Times are changing.

Is there a photograph confirming that Jan looked back. I don't believe you.
He's right. I saw it too. (and came to think of Riis on the Hautacam stage 1996)

Didn't I post this yesterday ;-)
Anyway, yes at one point in the last climb, I was worried that Ullrich was getting weak. He went to
the right of the road and dropped. A commentator on a motorbike said he was checking out the
derailers of his opponents. A good indication of their shape.

I did see it but that photo is not it. He dropped back to his right and was at the back of about a
half dozen riders. After he took a look he went back to the front. It was not all that dramatic, but
it did happen.
