Disco Vitamins. That is funny s**t.
What's funnier is that he thought it was a good excuse.
"Ya, I was tak'n ecstasy in a club. I don't take
performance drugs," he pleaded with the UCI. (Or something
to that effect.) I suppose it is possible that he really
was just casually chomping down on disco biscuits and that
they really did contain some of the performance drugs that
were tested for. Either way, he screwed up big time.
Ecstasy is a variant of methamphetamine ... And will show up
positive in a drug test for same. Methamphetamine, as a
stimulant, can be a performance enhancer in competition, but
it pretty useless in training.
Ullrich, due to his knee injury, was neither racing nor
training at the time he was surprise tested.
And he came clean right away ... No excuses, no denials.
For this, I will always respect Ullrich ... He screwed
up, he admitted it, and he did his time without
complaint, and came back to nearly kick some Armstrong
ass in the 2003 Tour.

himself enough for me. I like Jan. I want to watch him and
Lance duke it out this summer. If he's not in form, I will
be disappointed.
