Ullrich gets praise over and above Armstrong despite the facts. Every year him or his team have an excuse.
There have been a vast number of more gifted, technical cyclists than Ullrich. Ullrich just has power. Compared to Armstrong he has none of his intelligence, technical ability on a bike, ability to sprint, metaphorically change gear etc etc and people like ITV go on about him ad nauseum.

When you win a TDF - then start having a crack about how much lack of talent Ullrich has ? In the mean time, as I said before.......
He cant even give a straight answer. So his failure in the TDF is down to the weather or sickness or weight.
The same excuses year after year after year.
I dont understand why the media build up this man. ITV paradoxically extolling him while giving Armstrong grudging praise as Armstong destroys him day after day after day.
The simple fact is Ullrich is not even approaching the same class as Armstrong and never was and never will be.
