AND he has disappeared!!! Methinks he may by guilty. Hopefully not,
his comeback is a great story and I would be very disappointed if he
was doping.

All of his tests should be positive from Stage 17 on. He should still
be testing positive FTM. Testosterone doesn't go away overnight.
Plus, why would he take testosterone in the middle of the race, to make
sure he got caught? If he was trying to control inflammation in his
hip, he would've used cortisone anyway.
Doesn't hold water at this point.

Hate to sound so pessimistic, but anyone who believes that a Pro involved
in a sport that requires massive amounts of strength, isn't juicing it up
in way or another, is living in fantasy-land.

I think he's correct when he says its not doping.
He's not taken anything in to his body which could be classed as performance enhancing.
He claims its 'something' that happened within his body as a direct result of the previous days climb.
Watching the screen we thought he'd bonked big time, pedalling squares, tyres sticking to the road etc,
I'm sure most of us have felt that.
Next morning in the start paddock he told Christie Anderson he'd recovered overnight from heat exhaustion, he felt fine now and with plentiful supply of liquid he planned to make a special effort that day.
All thru the stage we saw him pour one bottle of water after another into his helmet, presumably so the fluid would run down his body and keep him cool. I bet he felt cold on the downhills.
The test compares the ratio between testosterone and epitestosterone levels and matches it to a norm, but theres no such thing as a norm in human bodies. If thats their only method, a one shot test, its got to be faulty. They should at least be comparing his levels to those found in his tests before and after this one.
One reporter dug up a report saying that one cause of increased testosterone is found after a patient has suffered heat exhaustion.
So, go figure as you say

CNN says the mere presence of testosterone is a sign of possible
steriods. I guess they have a zero tollerance for testosterone in
their workplace. 😄

And, as if that story wasn't enough... I just heard [on the radio] his dad
was found, dead in his carport; apparent suicide.

Somebody at work mentioned a Flandis story about an hour ago. I was kind of
curious what it was but hadn't had time to check into it.
It looks like it was his father-in-law:

Wow. That's terrible. I feel really bad for anyone who's had to lose a
friend or family member to suicide. Truly tragic. 🙁
