Seems to me it has been a long time since cycling at that level has been a sport. However the "guilty till proven innocent" Is something to really stand against. It has ramifications throughout the entire judicial system. Not withstanding the stand against doping must go on, but it has been proven over and over again that the entire system of doping contol is riddled with corruption. Just my opinion. Ro
I think there is inconsistencies in the testing system, which has lead to flaws. This opened the testing system to challenges which have caused unecessary controversy and drama. So the there needs to be a more uniform and regulated testing system. Perhaps video taping might help to document the system.

The FICP Federation of of international cyclists union needs to also establish uniform guidelines that teams must follow when a rider is accused of doping as well. This will ensure that riders are not dismissed summarily without evidence and cut down on the controversy and drama.

One thing to bear in mind is that apparently this newsgroup is colored greatly through USA-tinged lenses. France has Napoleonic law, whereby one is guilty (upon presentation of reasonable proof to that effect) until proven innocent. Just another system. Maybe not the best, but there you have it.
