Indeed, I've been here for a couple of years now and I've not been kill-filed for my residential preferences. Yet. (although having served my URC apprenticeship for serveral years at home in the UK may have lulled people into a false sense of security/tolerance).
Anyone, one or two trolls excepted, is welcome, even cyclingforum members!, but if non-UK residents would make it known where relevant it would help avoid confusion. The comments about knobblies being useful in dust on roads would have avoided a lot of confusion if we had known from the beginning it was NZ dirt roads that the comment referred to, otherwise it was misleading in respect of what we generally think of as roads in the UK.
But there are a number of non-UK contributors here and their input is very welcome and I did not mean to imply otherwise.

In no small part as this is UK.rec.cycling, not NZ.rec.cycling!

Thanks for the reassurance Simon but I took the first comment as I think it was intended ......without malice I'm sure.
However,in case there are any doubters as to my credentials I feel a great kinship with uk.rec.cycling since I'm an expat. from Aberdeen and about 95% of my serious cycling took place in Scotland and the other 5% in various parts of England.
Reading the posts in this group, even the most mundane......no, especially the mundane, helps keep alive the many memories I have of some of the best times of my life.
