Last year I had about 13,000-14,000 miles... switched computers a couple times, so I don't know the exact number.
Racer - Cat2

9,000-10,000 miles, I am a category III. -
1500 or so. What do you think, racer or recreational? 😄 Let's put it this way. I eat more calories than I burn on rides and I typically drive more miles to places so I can ride than I ride itself.

Wow, I'm an anomoly here...
7,000 miles, Cat 2.

Guess I'm a recreational rider, and a newbie. I just started riding last year. I'm up to 700 miles this year. But I started slow with 10 mile rides. You can add another 50 miles for tomorrows ride. I'm just hitting 100 miles per week, as long as I can before winter hits.
-
Just went over 7000 year-to-date so I expect 10-11K for the year. Recreational rider.

~12K road miles + ~200 hrs on the trainer. Cat4/Masters

cat 3/ masters 4...12-15,000km is usual...8000km YTD & now that winter is over expect to get some decent KM in for the remainder of the year -
8k klms in the last 12 months, which is the highest since I started riding 4 years ago, distances of 20 to 100 ks / ride. Would love to do more, but work gets in the way🙁 . Recreational, fitness & maintaining a healthy weight. I do "race" my own times / averages though. 99% solo [because no one will ride with me because I have a triple :o ]

I am a grandfatherly recreational/fitness rider. This year I will put in about 1500 miles on the trainer and about 1000 miles on the road. By next year I expect to be at about 1800 miles on the trainer and 1800 miles on the road. Most of my rides are no longer than 40 miles, but I am doing the MS 150 this year (75 miles per day for two days). Next year I am planning to do the MS 150 plus one or two century rides on my road bike and a portion of the C&O Canal tow path on my hybrid.
Since I started cycling nine months ago, my weight has gone from 265 pounds to 196 pounds, and my resting heart rate has gone from 80 to 52. My lipid profile has never been bad despite my obesity, but I cannot wait for my next physical to see how good it is now. I am no longer obese, but merely overweight. I have to lose only 12 more pounds to be "normal". I have not been normal for more than 25 years😄

200 hours on the trainer... you must be completely out of your mind.

I don't know what you mean. My trainer rides are my most "efficient" rides of all (L4-L6 time as % of total time start to finish). Actually, this fall I intend to invest in a Velodyne so that I can ride in ergo mode and just program my workout (including specific TT courses).
-
I seem to average around 7K per year. That doesnt count trainer riding and MTB which I do more during the winter.
14K miles per year....that's averaging 270 miles per week, every week! So if you take a week off then you have to ride 540 miles the next week to make up
Now that is impressive.

10,000 a year, I'm joining a race team next year. I thought I rode more than everybody, but looking at some these figures, I geuss not. Who knew there were other people riding more than me. ???

I understand that using the trainer is a very effective method for targeted training, but I just (personally) couldn't imagine being on the trainer for 200 hours/year.
I moved to the South (from Upstate NY) simply so I could train outdoors all year long. I would rather get a slightly less efficient workout and be outdoors for an extra 200 hrs/yr... but that is just me 🙂

It is sort of daunting when I look at it as a number of hours a year. But, each hour is so intense that it is truly not boring. I shake my head when people ask how they can make trainer time less boring. I instantly mentally go back to my last trainer ride, when I was concentrating on every pedal stroke to maintain power and use as little energy as possible, quads burning, heart pounding, sweat pouring off my forehead into my eyes. All I can think is, "Boring? You have to be kidding!" What I think is going on is that people are riding L2-L3 workouts on their trainers. But, used for real training, trainers are basically perfectly engineered torture machines. And, when I get my Velodyne and import my own ride plans, it'll truly rival the most effective torture machines ever designed. Can't wait!😄
