  1. So..

Tomorrow is meant to be a 5.5hr workout

    15min warm up + 15min cooldown included.

For most of the ride it's about doing miles and having fun (Endurance level).

    Another part is 2 x 30min @ LT and 10 x 30s-2min @ VO2mx

My conundrum is that tomorrow's weather is going to be absolutely shocking and I don't really want to do 5.5 hrs in pouring rain / wind.

I was thinking of doing an indoor workout at approx. the same level.

What's the best way to work out something that could be a similar TSS effect?

    Try this spreadsheet.

    Change the extension to .xls

I don't know if you will be able to tolerate a workout on the trainer with the TSS that you want in just one sitting, but this will help you estimate what you need...

  3. Thanks very much. I was thinking that to mimick a 5.5hr ride it would be a bit of longshot.

I suppose I could just do the whole workout on the trainer.............😄

Would breaking it apart into 2 different workouts make sense?

  5. That's what I'm thinking...

  6. The weather decided my workout. It was clear first thing in the morning so I went out.

It then rained for 3hrs solid 1hr into the spin.... but by then I was oout so no biggy.
