I'm very conscious that BeHIT and the stupid Bill have cyclists rather on the back foot. Wer are
seen as opposing something "obviously" worthwhile. BeHIT gets money from the taxpayer for cycle
"safety" literature and blows it on promoting questionable injury mitigation hats. Who's actually
promoting safe cycling?
I think it's time to put my money (or rather time) where my mouth (or newsreader) is. I have started
to assemble what might one day be a cycle safety guide for young people. I will be market testing
the ideas on my tame house apes, especially the bike checks section which Michael should be able to
understand easily. I will need to get some pictures from somewhere as my artistic skills are
somewhere between execrable and non-existent.
Here is a start. Feedback welcome as always. I am expecting it to take a while to get right. My
eventual ambition is to get the CTC or someone to publish a pukka polished version, which I am
guessing will look very different from my incoherent ramblings :-)
What the hell. At least it's not another helmet thread.
