  1. Bicycling is for homosexuals and people who can not afford a car.

These people pay no taxes and do not have any right to clog up our highways.

Rekumbent bikes are better and safer.

Bicyclists break the law all the time and should be executed for that.

    Everybody spells deraler wrong.

Those tight clothings that bicyclests wear is just to show off their
    mussles.

Bike riders generally are very stupid people.

    Also uncouth in their habits.

Helmets re unsanitary and not necessary.

    Vive le auto!

Yep, them too. We're not an exclusive bunch.

    Quoted message said:

I don't pay any taxes? Somebody should tell the people who collect them
that; they don't seem to Get It.

Especially if the rider is more competent than the guy on the other bike.

    Quoted message said:

I'll start supporting public executions for law-breaking cyclists when car
drivers start supporting public executions for law-breaking car drivers.
(I already support aggressive enforcement for both.)

Nah, if we wanted to show off our mussles we'd be standing outside a
    seafood restaurant.

I probably paid more for my bike and accessories than a lot of people
    pay for thier cars.

Cyclist have every right to be on the road. Check your local laws. And
I pay a ton of taxes.

Recumbents are different. Opinions on safety vary.

    Quoted message said:

Some cyclists do break the laws. I do not. MV drivers that break
traffic laws should be executed as well.

Yeah we look good in tights with seafood in our hands.

Actually most cyclists I have met are pretty smart. Smarter than most
    MV drivers, in my opinion.

I just got a great deal on an 18 year old Toyata Van. My Tour Easy
Recumbent was six times as costly, heck the fairing and associated
hardware cost me as much as this van did.

My previous car (which the van replaced) was only $200 cheaper than
    the Tour Easy ;-)

My three previous bikes cost me a total of $35. When I was reaching
the age to get my first bike I happpened to win a three speed English
racer (a great bike in 1960), and once a previous tennant abandoned
his Hercules 3 speed in a house I rented. The nearly thirty year old
Schwinn Varsity I rode prior to the recumbent did cost actual cash.

  5. See that proves one of my points. Some people think bicycles are cheap,
and that anyone who rides one as tranportation must be *poor* or unable
to afford an MV. Even my latest bike purchase, not an expensive bike by
any means, costs $500 for just the bike, then you have to add lights
for commuting, a strong rack for the back, bottle cage, cycle-computer
etc etc etc. So after I add it all up it probably works out to $700
plus. That is more than many pay for MV's.

No, only the ones who respond to a troll like this. What? Who, me? Never
    mind.

  7. LOL I will only respond to the trolls intial post, and then anyone who

The possessive form of troll has an apostrophe.
    Proving yet another point.

Maybe he wasn't refering only to this troll and this thread? Although
responding to all trolls would keep one rather busy.

No, you aren't the only one who feels these do not reflect Carl's true
beliefs, but it seems the rest of us put him into the "troll" category.

Make that the "bad, unimaginative, poorly spelled, and ungrammatical
    troll" and I'll agree.

That's rich coming from someone who can't spell "muscles", "recumbent" or
    "bicyclist". Or "are".

    Vive le auto!

Uncle Marvo's favouite, this one is consumed aboard the Pikea at least twice
    a week.

Washing up rating: ** (two pans and a spoon)
Flavour rating : **** (mainly hot)
Ease rating : * (can be cooked by a trained monkey)
    You need :

    Spring onions (couple of bunches).
    Garlic (a few 'cloves'😉.
    Soy sauce (dark).
    Wine (white).
Chilli, preferably fierce. Bird's eyes are best for me.
    Chilli powder.
Troll or other meat. Pork works quite well, beef needs to be expensive.
Veg as suggested by Mr. Bait (optional, I can't be BOTHERED [The Censor]).
    Egg Vermicilli.
MUSHROOMS (for potassium). Not necessary if you don't smoke, but nice.
Chestnut or other dark types are good.
    Sesame oil.
Olive oil (extra virgin is worth the difference, Philip Berio or sim.).
    Salt.
    FORTESCUE'S FOLLY [The Censor].
One wok. A frying pan will do.
    One big saucepan.

Cut up spring onions, garlic into smallish bits, us the green bits as well
as the white bits of onion. Soak them if poss in the wine (a slug) and soy
(same amount). A slug in this case would be about 4-8 big spoonfuls. Add
fine-chopped chilli (I use a whole one) and a whack of chilli powder. It's
good to do this the night before or when you get home, before you have a
    couple of beers.

Cut up troll in bits the size you like them. About an inch cube.

Heat olive oil to Mr. Bait's spec in the wok, use a generous splosh, whilst
doing this boil masses of water in the saucepan, plus salt, ready for the
    noodles.

Apply troll to wok and slash about with a wooden thing so that most of the
troll gets covered in the oil. Turn it down a fair bit.

When sort of white, rather than pink, bosh in the
onion/garlic/soy/wine/chilli concoction. Put on a lid if you have one.

Slosh a bit of olive oil in the water and add a handful of egg vermicilli.
It comes in handfuls inside the bag usually. One handful is quite a good lot
of pasta. Boil it up for a couple of minutes only.

Turn down the troll thing, it will keep forever like that. Put a lid on it
if you have one. Whilst drinking a can of BEER, make sure that the wok
dosn't get too dry, adding more wine if necessary. If you have poured too
much, you can drink it in a minute.

Drain the egg noodles, with a colander or sieve or just put your hand in and
tip the water out. It will be hot though. Put some sesame oil (not much) in
the hot pan, bang in the MUSHROOMS, cook them for a minute or two then put
the egg vermi back in, put it on the heat and turn down, splash about with
    the same wooden spoon.

Eat. It really is terrific. Drink the rest of the wine with it, and the
    SAMFAST'S DOWNFALL [The Censor] afterwards.
