dropouts are centered ? If so, it would seem easy to fashion your own.
I have a Minoura, but the low-end consumer grade model. If you are
referring to the dishing tool, I think I just misunderstood you (?).

holding up well. Unless things have changed, even road bike wheels
lack a standard nipple size. I may be dating myself, but rather than
the actual size, I used to refer to the nipple size by the Park
color-code: red, black, green, etc.

Right, there are three "standards," varying by spoke manufacturer, not
by wheel type. DT, and I think Wheelsmith, take the Park black wrench.
Most oriental machine-built wheels take the red one, and I got a set of
wheels that take the green one. Check out Park's web site or the mail
order catalogs for precise sizes. Then there's the, erm, interesting
spoke size that came on my Randonee, the only thing I have to fit THAT
is a multi-wrench that has a "14" size.

As spokes on my wheels break, I like to replace the whole wheel with DT
spokes. If I'd stop buying bikes and wheels, I'd be down to one spoke
wrench by now.

No, and no. I am referring to what Minoura calls the vertical shaking
gauge. It is the gauge that you use to guide you when making sure the
wheel is round.

The clue you missed, and then snipped was:
" Why he removed it, is a mystery to me."

He had to unscrew it, to remove it. Why he did that, I have no idea.

Hate to say it but you're missing "the" critical part of the wheel
building stand. If you can't find the part I'd just go ahead and buy a
whole new Workman Pro from Nashbar or Performance. Sometimes they have
sales on tools and if you use their coupon you can get it even cheaper.

No, and no. I am referring to what Minoura calls the vertical shaking

Sorry for the misunderstanding. I did a quick search and found that
Airbomb and Alfred E. Bike sell something called the "centering gauge"
for eight to ten dollars (US).

I found this part number for the centering gauge, but could not see an
associated photograph to confirm: 430-3100-00

No answers regarding Minroura but nipple size depends on the nipple,
not the wheel. DT, Sapim, Wheelsmith, nipps use a black spoke wrench,
from Park or Pedros. Same wrench regardless of spoke/nipple gauge, the
outside measurement is the same.

Thanks Peter. I emailed Minoura, about the missing part. I didn't do
it right away because the first time I looked, all I saw was the
Japanese address. This time I found the USA connection.

So the black one is size 0, I believe, is that correct?

Well, I heard from Minoura, "Sorry, this part is not sold separately."

Looks like I have an incomplete truing stand, unless my friend finds
the part.
