WTF is an intermittent magnet? I have used Polar and Specialized remote fork pickups with a rare
earth magnet (under $5 from radioshack) glued to the valve hole on the HED H3's. This also works on
rear disks, just apply tape over the magnet.

Means that the magnet is not always in contact with the sensor similiar to the avocet type that uses
one large constant contact magnet.

I think he means that the "intermittent magnet" is just a regular magnent, but it registers on the
sensor once a rotation. Whereas the Avocet has a continuous loop of a magnent, that somehow
registers on the sensor. I'm not sure how though.. maybe it measures the magnetic field changes..

As for the actual problem, as Steve said.. any magnet will work. Just find a way to get it on the
fork.. a nice little magnet from somewhere with some epoxy or something maybe?

I use the little round magnets removed from their holder with a dab of epoxy or goop for cadence.
I'd think the same thing would work here.
