Beater bike is a Tiagra triple. Have a set of 105 double cranks I would like to put on. Will a long cage rear der function properly? Yeah, yeah, I should spring for the new short cage one, but seeing how this is a beater bike I want to keep the cost down. Show me some bandwidth Brother Beaudreaux!!

Yeah. The double, assuming 9 speed needs an octalink BB with a 109.5 spindle length. That tiagra triple uses a square taper 113mm.

Thanks. 105's are square taper probably 5-6 years old and came off and 8 speed tri-bike, but are the right crank length.

They used a 107mm BB spindle.
