    I'm in favor of judicious post trimming too.

    HOWEVER - People who are still on dial up and charged by-the-minute
    have the option to download Headers ONLY and delete any post (offline)
    with too many lines for their pocketbook. They can also read and
    reply OFF line, sending replies in a batch later.

    If they don't have those options, then they need to find a better news
    reader.

    Seems to have fallen on deaf ears, Gregory. I've got a couple in my
