get 127's then because they will give you the speed you need for street
plus be good for trials

I have 127s on my kh wheel and I like it for my riding but if I actually
did mainly trials I would want 140s. When you are hopping on small
objects then it is really hard to stay on with small cranks, it tends
to roll off and it is really hard to stop unless you have some really
strong legs. The extra leverage with long cranks would help.

For strictly trials I would definatly say the 140s, I voted 135's though
because I can barely ride with 140s I find it wayyyy too much tork and
I can't get any speed, so basically I ruined it and voted for the
135's. Pretty much the bigger the crank the more control you have
therefore the better for trials.

140's or 145's are the best. you can still ride street fine.

I have 140s they feel really good. If you have 127s like the torker dx
then you have no tork when you jump to something. I would definitally
get longer than 127s unless you only want speed.

Basically you will like 127 when you have them and not like the length
of the cranks for 140s. But once you get used to them you will never
want to ride 127s again. they have no control.

I'd think 135's would be the best for street and trials. you have more
speed than 140's, but more control than 125's.

I voted 135's, but actually I guess that would be better for street and
trials.

I use 145mm for street and trials, they're great for trials and not too
bad for street after you get used to them. It makes 360 unispins spin
slow, and some other stuff, but I do fine on them. 140's would be good.

I ride 127, and I love them, control wise I dont feel much of a
difference with them in the 140s. I can ride and get plenty torque from
the 127s.

If i was doing stricly trials i would get 140's. If i also wanted speed
i would get 127's.

127mm to 140 is a 13mm difference which is about an upgrade of how wide
your pinky finger is. Would that small difference really make an
impact?

I'm looking for a crank size that would be good for trials and street.
But isn't street riding basically trials anyways? Hopping on park
benches, doing cool gaps at parks or downtown areas, and all that other
good stuff.

Also doesn't the bigger the crank the faster you go? or is is smaller
crank=faster?

Yes. To some,. they can feel it way more and it will affect them a lot.
For me, I dont notice to much of a change, and it doesnt affect my
ridding by much at all.

I would recommend the 127, or if you can, get the 135s from Koxx. It
wont be too long, so you will still have your speed aspect, and its
still long enough to give control and torque. IT seems 127s are better
for street and 140 for trials. If you can get between that, you have
found yourself a happy medium.

No, not necessarily, I mean, to an experienced rider, the crank size
wouldn't make too much of a difference when such a small difference is
made. But in theory, yes it would make a difference. Longer cranks =
More torque and control. Smaller cranks = less control, more speed.

i havnt ridden 140 yet, so my opinion wont be great... but they are my
next purchase.

alright what is so amazing about that little bit extra speed for
street.... the way i see it, in any sport, the more you slow down yer
tricks and lines the more room you have to add yer style or flare....
isnt more controll more important than being zippy...?

if the extra 13 mm makes it easier to land on a rail wouldnt that help
for street?

als for example, i am a glass blower. speed is very important with
melting glass the more of the glass you can spin and keep in the flame
the quicker it melts.... but without being steady, and without the
CONTROLL you need yo keep it in the flame, the speed is useless.

seams pretty obvious which ones are better for street and trials
what doest torker sell on their dx, its prolly the other one hahhahha

OK- see the new KH2007 posting of new products. The KH20 comes with a
new length: 137mm. In testing this seems to have good torque for
trials but more smoothness for rolling hops and street. 125mm is also
available.
