  1. Greetings all... I am a newbie to triathlon. I am interested in purchasing an entery level tri bike.

I have been riding a "regular" road bike for about 12 years with about 7 years of road racing. How do I convert my road specs. to fit a tri bike?

Any feedback regarding sources would be appreciated...

    Thanks

  2. Try:

    slowtwitch.comtechctr.html

This is way more complex than you might think.

  3. Also from Slowtwitch...here's a list of certified LBS/tri shops that are fit experts. Also John Cobb
if you're near any of his stores. I wouldn't attempt this without expert advice. It's very possible
to take your existing steed and do a servicable conversion to riding with aeros. But it depends on
you, the bike, etc. I know because I too slapped a set of aeros on my roadbike when I first began
racing. Bad bad idea.....I was too stretched out and had zero power. Get some expert advice. It's
    worth the $$'s. Here's the link: slowtwitch.comdealerprofiles.html

  4. My suggestion: if you're a newbie, use a regular road bike with aerobars.

On the other hand, for those of us in the sport a long time, we like newbies that buy lots of
expensive sport-specific equiptment and then decide that tri isn't for them -- it creates a
    wonderful and cheap after-market.

So - keep up the good work! buy, Buy, BUY!
