I recently lost my 2008 Trek Madone 4.5 to a vehicle and rack failure. I am in the market to purchase a new bike but I am not happy with the current Madone 4.5 color scheme. My bike was the white / blue which I really enjoyed and felt like it was easy to spot on the rack during triathlons and duathlons. The Project One will not let me modify the paint scheme on the 4.5. I am also considering one of the Felt bikes. All of their frames offer the custom options which look great to me. I dont know much about the Felt technology. Could anyone help me with thoughts between the two? I loved the color and geometry of my old Trek. Thanks.

I don't think it matters much, both the Trek and the Felt are built in China so their going to be about equal. I would buy the lessor expensive of the two, or the one that has the better components.
There's plenty of good bikes out there for that price range, I would ride as many as you can if you haven't already done so, and ride each one for at least 8 miles to get a decent feel for it.

Your Madone 4.5 had Trek's H2 (Performance) geometry, while Felt's F series bikes are a bit longer in the top tube and lower in the head tube. Felt's Z series frames, on the other hand, are a bit taller in the head tube your Madone. Be sure to try both geometries before you make a decision.
For something very close to the Madone shape that isn't a Madone look into Scott's CR1 range.

Froze is obviously not well versed in name brand cycles. The Trek Madone is designed in WI and made in Taiwan, not China. A Motobecane is a far cry from a Trek or Felt. Sure, it looks good on paper. Ride them.

Please let me know what it feels like to ride a Motobecane carbon bike. I have only read good things about it and don't have any experience with them. I ride MTB and want to get into road cycling and would appreciate the feedback.
