    Hi,

    I'm in QLD and am just about to buy an 05' Trek 1500. The best price I could get was $2400 AUD. Can you still get them for $2000 AUD?

    Your help would be greatly appriciated.

    i ride an 03 trek 1500. the main changes to the bike since are only minor and include a carbon seat post and better shaped bars.
    i find it to be a great bike. full ultegra is excellent, no cheap breaks or cranks like some other brands. just make sure the 05 includes the 10spd ultegra group.
    otherwise the wheels are its biggest weakness. you may want to upgrade those later

    Nice bike. I'd upgrade the wheelset to something more comparable with the quality of the groupset.

    ps. I think the cassette is SRAM, so not quite full Ultegra.

    I have had mine since Feb this year and love it. Resonalbly light (around the 9kg mark with underseat bag and polar).

    the only thing i did not like was the tires. Kept getting small cut flats for glass on the roads. when out and got some Conti Gator skins and havnet had a problem since

    What is wrong with SRAM parts? Are they below in quality to Shimano?

    my mate got a 2000 this year and loves it

    spec for spec, it is pretty exxy but it has the trek label and geometry is sweet

    bike choice is just so personal
