Yes I think I reported it last year. Panniers are distinct but blue. They are Montagnard from Quebec. I got them at Cycle Bertrand about 15 years ago andt they are still holding up pretty well dispite almost daily use all those years.
Unfortunately I have only seen the same panniers once down in the Byward Market about 6 years ago and immediately asked the rider where he got his in case I needed to replace mine. He'd bought his from Cycle Bertrand at almost the same time I bought mine 🙂
I'm in the east end of Ottawa and don't get to visit Cycle Bertrand very much but I'll take a look next time I'm out that way. We don't have much for bikes or panniers around here...

Well, I did my regular 6km route today (slowly getting my cycling legs back)
While about halfway out, I saw something smashed up all over the pavement - looked like bits of one of those solar charged garden lights.
So, I double back through a school yard to get a second look - lo and behold, on a grass berm between the road and the school parking lot I'm in, there's another solar light - this one NOT smashed up!
Stop and pick it up... look around. The school doesn't use these. Seemed like either some kids ripped a couple of these off, destroying one and just dropping the other - or someone had lost something on the way home from Home Depot. Who knows?
I've asked before who carried a camera - now I'm asking "what kind of treasures have you found while biking?" (and were you able to bring them home or hide them and pick them up later)

I have found a few little items, a couple of dollar stuck on a clump of grass, a pair of Oakleys but I have LOST far more than that. About 10 pounds.
I've found turtles in un-urban areas too :-) The other day I was riding through Rock Creek Park in DC and found a turtle slowly ambling across the road. I picked it up and put it on the side it was headed to.
Other than that, the best thing I've found was a trashed hardtail mountain bike. It had a crazy frame with weird struts going to curved chainstays, and some huge ape hanger bars. It had LX derailers and a singlespeed Sakae crank which I took...

No. He had been following me and I couldn't find any tags or anything, so I left him with a very nice lady who was doing some gardening, along with my name and number. I asked her if she knew the owner and i she said no, but she had seen the dog wandering around for the past couple of days. The nice thing is (at least as of last year) if you hit Cycle Bertrand on rue Eddy you're only a block or so away from the Hull Peco's and G&M Bertrand. Three top cycling shops in a 3 minute ride. I did like living in Hull.

One big treasure came along a few days ago. A zipper case with 215 audio CDs was lying on the edge of a busy road. The CDs contained nearly every kind of music, from Classical to Classic Rock. There's a lot with Reggae and Hip-hop. About 1/3 of them are the types to which I ordinarily listen. The ones I've played are in top shape. I'd gladly return them to the owner, but there was no I.D. in the case. I'll watch the Lost & Found ads in the newspapers for a few weeks, but I can't think of any other way to locate whoever lost them. If I'd lost such a collection, I'd be very unhappy. I can't imagine how or why they ended up on the road. Perhaps this was arranged by Fate, to broaden my musical experience. Maybe I'll get a little CD player and listen to them while riding. If the owner doesn't materialize within a reasonable time, I'll have about 100 Rap and Hip-hop disks to give away. There's limits to how broad I want my musical experience to become.

No idea who/what Redd Kross is------I'll keep my ear out for it as I explore the disks incognito. Who is Mickey Hart? There is a disk that bears his name called "Planet Drum", that sounds spectacular on my 7.1 system. My favorite so far is the one with Bob Marley and Pink Floyd together.

I read a National Geographic story a year or so back about a travel odyssey along the Great Wall of China. One passage related a town where the correspondent saw CD's affixed to motorcycles by locals for use as reflectors.
