Not that I'm justifying their actions, but these 'booby
traps' are being erected on trails on which bikers are
banned. This wouldn't even be an issue if bikers were riding
legitimately.

You know mikey normally I just ignore your trolling
dribble. But come on not even you can believe that theres
any good reason to booby trap a trail, be it one that gets
ridden or hiked on.

Heck I can't stand the damage that horses and atvs do to a
trail but I wouldn't dream of setting up traps for them.
Course I live in the real world, unlike you.

Good ol' kiwis, eh? I busted my shoulder in what was
probably a booby trap. Cruising at moderate speed along an
undulating trail in the forestry and wammo, one of the
undulating lumps had a bloody great two foot deep hole cut
out behind the lip. Just out of sight until you were right
on it. Completely endo'd despite trying to pop the front up,
and being clipped in, the bike followed me over too. The
chain ring took a nice chunk out of my helmet as (probably)
the pedal gave me a black eye.

This is why we need to take the initiative. I purpose that
we ride on the DH sections at break-neck speeds, and smack
the back of the head any hiker that dares to step foot on
OUR trails. Use a branch, piece of cactus or an air pump.

Let them learn the meaning of fear!
