  1. anybody know if campag record (old)track nuts are a unusual
size thread as I cant find any that will fit. campag want a
    small fortune for genuine ?

  2. Might be. I had a rear Record derailleur ten years ago that
seemed like an inch size diameter but a metric thread pitch.

    Campag use hybrid Imperial/metric threads - 10mm x 26 tpi at
the rear, and 9mm x 26 tpi at the front. Genuine Campag
track nuts are horribly expensive. Alternatives exist, but I
    don't know a UK source.

The threading standard used across all generations of
Campagnolo track hub axles has been 9x26 in the front, 10x26
in the rear. OEM spares are rather costly, but there are
    competent aftermarket alternatives.

The rest of the world is out of step with Campagnolo's
    standard 10f26 thread. It's 55 degree Whitworth, not m10x1
    60 degrees ISO metric.

Going at that the other way, if it helps, pretty much any
standard 9x1/4" balls rear axle set will for your Record
    hub. (Suzue, Normandy, etc)
