We tried Y Garn one weekend about 3 months ago. Idea was to trek up, from
the pass, hit Y Garn, over the Glyders to Devils Kitchen, Wild Camp and
return to Nant Peris. (possibly via Tryfan first)
Took a GPS with us (see comment below), but had to abort - mist was so bad,
I couldn't see me other half, who was only about 5m behind. Wind and rain
hitting our faces horizontally and literally bringing tears to the eyes.
GPS recorded we were less than 100m from Y Garn summit when we turned back -
dammit!
Ah well
