Excellent read. After reading that I really want to go and do
something similar. It all seems so *real* - looking for somewhere to
pitch the tent, doubts about the water, rude people and exceptionally
nice people, exhaustion, exhilaration..... I wish I'd done it.

something similar. It all seems so *real* - looking for somewhere to
pitch the tent, doubts about the water, rude people and exceptionally
nice people, exhaustion, exhilaration..... I wish I'd done it.

ago. I make notes on a daily basis to help me remember later on, and

I've figured out that the nearest I was to you was when I was driving
up on the 8th of May. I would have been motoring along the south shore
of Loch Laggan whilst you were at Fedden.

Checking my timings from the EXIF data of my photos I have found that
this one of my tent on the Glen Shiel campsite was taken at 19:00 so
in fact you were somewhere between Loch Garry and Fedden, close but no
cigar.

The scoff at the Kintail Lodge is most delicious, though it can take a
while to arrive on busy nights and is a tad on the expensive side.

Hi PW,

finished your TR last night. To make a long story short : brilliant. Tired,
sore feet, navigational errors, cold water, downpours, lousy hotelmanagers.
Why do we do this? For the views, the flowers, the friends along the way,
achievement, the sun and more !
Tomorrow my yourney will start. Any change of us meeting sunday afternoon in
the Old Dungeon Ghyll for dinner or do you have to get home early ?
Anyway : let's enjoy the LD.
