The first photo looking towards the head of Grisedale is superb, the
contrast of the hills against the azure sky is stunning.Wishing I wasn't stuck in the office, David!!!

path to the right for most of the way as you are heading for Helvellyn
which is dog friendly, then it switches to the left before the descent
of 'the bad bit' - the chimney. The only further tricky bit is the
ascent of Helvellyn, but dogs are alright if you keep left to the faint
path. Swirral was no problem really.
