Nice set of photos Sean. Not too much snow about ...... pity. I was hoping
to have a 4 day weekend this weekend if snow had arrived. Would be worth
driving 330 miles for a winter walk.

Judging by your route map, I wonder if there will be any water left in Red
Tarn next time I visit? (eh eh).

Well, off to get ready for a South Downs walk instead of a Lakeland 'snowy'
walk. The weather doesn't look too bad out of the window. Off east of
Chichester for a section of the South Downs Way from Eartham Wood. Photos
later.

You mean the one who last weekend was promising us extensive snow
cover above 800m with ice axe and crampons essential? I think he'd
got confused and walked up Ben Nevis instead, it's quite like
Helvellyn from the 'tourist' side.

It's nice to see someone actually visiting the parting stone. Of the
countless times I've been there, I've always visited the stone, but have
watched many many people walk past. Maybe they don't know? Whatever, it's
still an important piece of Lakeland history.

Jhimmy - I made a concious effort to find it this time, I must have
walked past it loads of times and just not seen it. Now I know where it
is, how can anyone miss it??
