Hi,
Pushed and rod eyp Cairngorm on thursday. The Ranger spoke to
me and said you can't MTB up the fire/acces rd to the upper
station.
Of course the first thing I said was "what about the access code ?"
The national park is supposed to'encourage' use by foot, bike and horse.
Then his face and head dropped. I then discussed this for ten mins.
He also said the top path from the station is very damaged and can't take
much biking. Of course the path was in perfect condition with a tiny amount
of erosion.
I then descended via the fiacaill ridge, a superb rocky descent. Then down
the
Alt Mhor path, no biking signs everywhere.
Anyway. Friday did an easy walk from the ski carpark along the superb path
above the Lairig Ghru all the way to Ben Macdhui.
A very easy, if long walk. Aded some spice by descendning into the Sneachda
corrie
by the steep path down the middle. Then the cloud dropped to 900m ish.
Photos soon.
