Not sure if you're serious, but yes, OLN is devoting the
entire month of July to the TDF. -

Has anyone else noticed the sound level is very low on
OLN...or is it just my cable operator? All the other
channels are fine, but with OLN I have to really crank the
volume to hear it...then when I forget and switch to
another channel the volume is booming. Just wondering if
it's a global thing or just my cable system...if it's just
mine, I'll have to call them on Tuesday to try to get them
to fix it."Churchill" <[email hidden]> wrote in message

Yep, it's the Lance network until the end of the tour. I'm
sensing burnout on the way...how many times can I hear
that masculine voice utter "IT'S THE CYCLISM!!!!" LOLboy, i wish i could. cable where i'm at doesn't have OLN,
tho a few people have Dish. one of them is a coworker, a
former racer whose wife & kids just left for vacation to the
east coast for july. he doesn't know it yet but i'm moving
in for the duration.Quoted message said:
The coverage is solid though. I get it with basic cable.

without knowing results! -- if any indication of things to
come, this thing could be REALLY exciting). Is OLN *always*
low on volume for you?I notice that TNT is loud for some reason; always have to
turn others up after. (Go figure 🙂 )Bill "only watch it (TNT) for X-Files" S.

Several channels on DirecTV have their volume quite a bit
lower than others. And of course the advertisements are
usually kept at the peak volume that a show would only use
for explosions or gunshots. Been my dad's complaint for
several years.Fred Hall said:

cyclism is an unfortunate naming for the tour. A) because
the tour doesn't need an annual nickname. B) because even
though I know they were melding cataclysm with cycling or
something like that it just sounds dumb.Preston

Agreed...and even though I like Lance and hope he gets
number 6, I'm getting real sick of seeing him in EVERY
commercial OLN airs. -
Does anybody know if CBS is doing the one hour summaries of the past week every Saturday (in the US)? I know they did it the past two years, but, after looking in the TV Guide, I couldn't find it. I think it was called "Wide World of Sports (featuring TdF)." Instead, the schedule had a movie or PGA Golf, neither of which I care much about.
-
Correction: It might be ABC. But the question remains, does anybody happen to know if either are doing a weekly summary, or is just OLN (which I don't have the luxury of having)?
