Like I said before the Tour is over. Commentators are only speculating on
new contenders to try to keep interest. This Tour is boring and next year
will probably be boring to as Lance will dominate again. 2006 and 2007 will
be an exciting year as Lance barely edges out 20 somethings and then decides
to retire so that he can have some of that great bread and butter he misses
and he deserves it so give it up, [censored].

Lousy troll, but the thing about the tour is the mountain stages are never
boring. It doesn't matter who's winning because the entire stages are cool
from start to finish. Why? Because it strings out the pack and allows the
cameraman to get up close and personal with each rider and especially all
the top climbers. Of course all the big mountain top finishes are always
exciting but it's the chemistry of these stages that make bike racing so
cool. It puts everything in slow motion and gives a better account of all
the riders. Also of course decents are cool. Oh, heck, why am I typeing this
stuff for you. Tell you what, if it's boring to you, go to AMC. I think they
are having a run on fright night movies on fridays. Creature from beneath
the Sea was on last week. Maybe that would be more thrilling! Try that! -
This is proof that the real story here is the preparation leading up to the
Tour. Armstrong, in effect, had won the Tour before it began. It seems no
one else on the planet has his workload capacity. Hell, it seems the tour
is almost a "rest macrocycle" for him, in comparison to his regular
training.--

Lousy trollIt's no troll, the Tour this year is boring. At least after stage 14 it's
boring, 'cause it's over. All we have to watch for is whether Lance can
stay on his bike. He's got no competition anymore, and that's what makes a
tour exciting (duh). -

duh? Be serious, the majority here feels the tour is not boring, and it's
far from over according to Jeff. I said it was over, but I never said it was
boring. I can't believe your narrow view of the tour being exciting is
(just) based on Lance's nearest competition. If I felt that way, I wouldn't
even watch the thing. Maybe sprint car racing would be more exciting for
you. There is so much more to the tour then this narrow view you presented.
There are lot of good stories out there about the tour and they are not the
ones Gum is doing. -

AND IT'S NOT OVER.
There's a rider who has matched Lance on all the big climbs so far
who's only 1'17" behind and there are three big climbing days left.
One bad day for Lance (it has happened) could see him lose enough time
to make the ITT the difference one way of the other.
